The Bachelor of Science aims to prepare graduates who are ethical and concerned for the common good, and able to apply a broad and coherent body of knowledge to their professional work in the science arena. Students will explore the influence and utility of scientific knowledge through detailed study of at least one science discipline (biology, chemistry, earth and environment) to form a major or a specialisation.
Majors in chemistry and biology will be offered on each campus, in mathematics on Melbourne and Sydney campuses, and in environment on the North Sydney campus. Chemistry, biology, and environment will be offered as minors on each campus. Environment will be offered as a specialisation on the North Sydney campus only. The Bachelor of Science includes community engagement and work integrated learning units in the final year, exposing students to potential careers for Science graduates and encouraging the development of work readiness skills.
